Outside the Building and gardens are lovely, But inside it's just new paint over things. Heaters Never heat up, windows are not double glazed and don't fully close in some rooms. In the Bathroom there's nowhere to hang towels, and the Bed mattress is like sleeping upon Stone. Kitchen is nice but breakfast is done by yourself, as there are NO STAFF ONSITE. My TV couldn't find and channels, and when I called to say so, I was told to set it up myself like a new install, that's NOT ON, and in Room No1 you can hear people entering and above you ALL NIGHT. My advice pay the extra £10 that it may cost to stay elsewhere .

Avoid. Turned up for a business trip I had to leave within 10minutes of arriving. Dirty, window smashed in, door to bathroom wouldn't open.

Original nice place to stay, note it has remote check in and self service breakfast, bathroom a bit small, but nice room and shared lounge.

Very basic but clean. Didn't check booking details thoroughly as thought all guest houses nowadays have en-suite and a kettle in the room. This had neither. Breakfast provided is basic DIY in shared kitchen and neighbouring guests left sinkful of dirty dishes (next to the sign that asks people to wash up what they use). Ideal for Stanstead airport.

It's more like a hostel than a hotel. No staff, no facilities in the room. Shared bathroom and toilets. Pay the extra and stay in a Premier Inn

The hotel was in a convenient location for visit to Harlow. My room was basic, but comfortable. Breakfast is self service and met my needs. Check in was straightforward - with an email and text message - providing the required information.

Room we had was very good size, basic decoration . Nice shower. Bed comfy. Breakfast help yourself . Continental . Very happy over night stay and good price .

Idea place for a night stay, easy access to the house. On arrival house and room seems lovely (room5) clean and roomy, lovely big window, shame you looked out window to broken glass all over conservatory roof . No kettle in room but access to kettle tea milk in kitchen 24/7 . A few issues, wasn’t until we went to bed we notice a large stain on sheet under one pillow wasn’t sure if ink or what so laid a towel over for the night . Wasn’t happy with the breakfast as bread in bed bin had white fur mould all over it 🤢 so clearly not fresh bread daily. Lucky we had bread in the car from a family do which we shared with another guest as I explained to him not to eat the bread left. There were yogurts to have but didn’t bother after the bread issue.. could be a lovely place to stay but think would be better not to include breakfast just tea/coffee. Lovely and quiet

Enkel och funktionell inkvartering ca halvtimman från Stansted. Ett gammalt hus i Old Harrow. Inga problem med parkering, på gården eller på gatan utanför. Rummet stort och rent, toalett/dusch liten. Personalen har ansträngt sig för att rummet ska kännas välkomnande men man kan inte bortse från doften av fukt/mögel. Frukosten är self-service för enkel kontinental frukost: kaffe/te, bröd (inget GF), joghurt, juice etc. Gott om plats i gemensam matsal. Möjlighet att själv laga enklare måltider. Men man kan istället ta en kort promenad på 200 meter till den lokala puben, The Queen's Head, som serverar god thai-mat.

Located in a nice, quiet, & lovely town. The hotel itself is decent, but lacks essential services. No staffs present to assist. Breakfast is pitiful, & the bathroom has the tiniest sink I have ever seen! It was a struggle to brush our teeth.

Good night for stay before flight from Stansted. If I had to complain about anything, it would be a few doors banging in the evening. I liked the fact we had use of the kitchen and could help ourselves to a basic breakfast early morning. Definitely will stay again

Stay? We didn't stay more than 30 minutes before packing back up and leaving. The room smelled like musty urine, the tv wouldn't work and the ceiling was covered in stains like something above was leaking. We tried contacting the owner but there is nobody around if you have any issues and nobody gets back to you. Worst place we have ever gone to stay.

If your happy to share facilities and use communal areas then I suppose this is a good place. The rooms are very basic but made comfortable and warm. Helpful manager and very nice and helpful cleaning team.

Very pleased with the hotel/guesthouse. Accessing the building was quite straightforward. The rooms were large and very clean and all had en suites. The kitchen/lounge area was very spacious and had a variety of breakfast cereals, breads, jams etc and a large supply of tea, coffee and milk. Utensils and crockery supplied. Stayed there as daughter was getting married the following day and we used the large family/garden room to get ready with the bridesmaids. Can highly recommend.

This is not a hotel or even a guest house more like a hostel with a remote check in no staff anywhere The room was basic with a very small shower room with a cloakroom size sink There was no mirror above the sink and when the owner was telephoned to complain, he stated that the mirror was broken earlier in the week, however booking .com reviews indicate this was not the case No hairdryer in the room No tea and coffee facilities in the room No bedside lights The premier inn would of been better

This was a nice cosy place to stay. Also one of the quietest. We enjoyed our few nights there. Kitchen well-equipped and the sunroom out back was a lovely place to breakfast. My only suggestion would be to put net curtains on windows of ground floor rooms. If we had our curtains open to make the most of the sun, we often very uncomfortably made eye-contact with people arriving or leaving. We enjoyed our stay other than this, though, and can recommend the guest house as great value.

Avoid.. the house itself was nice but rooms like a student house or hostel . Two of our rooms wouldn't lock so did not feel secure or safe . The rooms carried between a nice double or horrible bed sit .. breakfast was make your own with what was in the house and no body around to contact .. premier inn and other brands slightly more and much more value for money . Highly let down glad was only one night am afraid

Eventful stay - came back from a wedding, sat down to have a cup of tea whereupon the man staying in room 18, came through the door in his boxers, he had cut his finger, had to tackle to get first aid kit out of drawer, to find only 2 plasters, man was drunk & had locked himself out of his room as well, so our husbands managed to get him back in, he was very apologetic & thankful. Then we went to go to our room whereupon we found another man trying to get a young girl who had got locked in the bathroom out which had no handle on it, after sometime our husbands managed to get her out (even though this had happened about an hour before as well), but she had also locked herself out of her room, tried to contact owner but no answer, managed to eventually get her in her room & we got to go bed about 130am! We had a fan in the bathroom room 11 that stayed on all night so not the best of quiet sleeps. Place is very clean but needs serious inspection of toilet handles and locks and perhaps reminders to people checking in who don't have en suites to always take there keys with them plus an emergency contact number for such events (maybe in several different languages as there was quite a few different language speaking guests) . It was not our place to have to deal with these issues but being caring people we helped. Owner did text back but feel that nothing will get done just hope there is never a fire or serious incident in the future

Very affordable place to crash for a night/weekend. Great rooms(even better, for my double room which had an ensuite). Concerns were mattress was abit to worn and springy..and the wet room area(ensuite) was very slippy when showering. Other than that a great stay, would recommend to family and friends..and would definitely stay again 👍👍

1) Not clearly stated that it was shared bathroom/shower. This was left dirty by other guests. 2) Noisy - Other guests simply decided that talking loudly was good. The rooms need some kind of sound insulation. 3) Towel, not towels and small. Could not wrap around. 4) Continential breakfast was tea and cereals. 5) Breakfast had NO VEGAN OPTIONS - cereals but how about oat/almond/soya milk. Also no Green tea. 6) No desk in the room. Trying to work on the bed. 7) Shower on top floor stopped working half way through. Just beeped and stopped.
